HEAT OR EAT?
With winter settled over Afghanistan, some are forced to choose between buying firewood or food: heat or eat? Hear stories of human survival and the experiences of CUC graduate Azalea Lehndorff, Afghanistan project coordinator for A Better World, on Monday, February 13 at the LMC. Lehndorff, who lives in Afghanistan, is heading the 100 Classroom Project, building schools for Afghani children. This presentation is open to the public.

After 22 years of sharing office space in various places, A Better World received a generous donation from Warren and Sara-Jane Schnoor of Lacombe, Alberta. They own Co-operators Insurance Services in Lacombe. The office address remains the same. We are grateful for their generosity. They have also gone beyond this gift to building a school in Africa. |
